In our 12-month chef training program, you can develop a strong foundation in the art of cooking through theory, technique, and palate training. Our instructors will guide you through our master chef-like course and help improve your senses through an incredible range of flavors. You’ll also learn from three separate internship rotations at some of our region’s leading culinary providers.
The best way to learn the practical skills you need to be successful in the culinary industry is by doing them through on-the-job training. Some of the culinary techniques you’ll learn are knife skills, baking skills, menu planning, local sourcing, and more.
We know that not everyone learns at the same pace, and that’s why we offer smaller class sizes. This allows for a more personalized learning experience, connecting with your fellow students, and learning one on one from our expert chef instructors. You’ll be able to truly glean from their expertise.
Laurel offers experiential learning opportunities to our Culinary Art students in our gardens and on-site restaurant.
